Inversions set yoga apart from other physical disciplines: they allow us to see things from an alternate perspective, guide the energy of the pelvis toward the heart center, and stimulate the immune and endocrine systems, invigorating and nourishing the brain and the organs. When done correctly, inversions also release tension in the neck and the spine. They also are a fun way to challenge your balance to get outside your comfort zone.
If you've ever been overwhelmed by the thought of going upside down, this workshop will help you build a foundation to overcome the fear of inverting by breaking down the fundamentals into easy steps. We'll explore the basics of headstand, handstand and more as we cultivate strength, flexibility, to tap into our own confidence and progress in our physical practice.
This workshop is open to all levels, but at least one year of consistent yoga practice is recommended.
